The terms and conditions set by Knowledge Train are made with fairness and equality in mind. If you believe our practices can be improved, or if you believe our practices are unfair, please let us know by contacting us at info@knowledgetrain.co.uk.

Bookings

Bookings made with Knowledge Train are subject to the terms and conditions of both Knowledge Train and affiliates.

All fees are subject to VAT @20% regardless of the delegates’ country of residence. Customers purchasing online courses will be charged VAT relative to country of residence (for EU residents), or 0% VAT (for non-EU residents).

Unless otherwise agreed, all course/exam fees must be processed by Knowledge Train prior to the start of your course/exam. Knowledge Train reserves the right to charge monthly interest on late payments at 5% above Bank of England base rates.

Where applicable, access to online pre-course material will not be provided until payment has been received by Knowledge Train.

Cancellations

Classroom courses

All bookings must be cancelled with a written notice. All cancellations incur a cancellation fee as detailed below*:

  • 4 weeks prior to course/exam start: £75 + VAT;
  • 2 – 4 weeks prior to course/exam start: 50% of course/exam fee;
  • Less than 2 weeks prior to course/exam start: No refund will be given.

Knowledge Trains’ cancellation fees are not arbitrary and aim only to cover our initial investment in your chosen course/exam.

*All bookings for Professional Scrum Master courses require 21 days’ cancellation notice. No refund will be given for cancellations within 21 days of course start.

Online courses

A full refund for online courses will be provided if requested within 7 days of purchase, provided you haven’t accessed the course or booked an exam.

Amendments

Classroom courses

All classroom bookings may be changed if written notice is given at least 2 weeks prior to course/exam start. No changes are permitted within 2 weeks of course/exam start. Bookings may only be changed once. Fees for changing bookings are listed below:

  • 4 weeks prior to course/exam start: £75 + VAT;
  • 2 – 4 weeks prior to course/exam start: £125 + VAT.

Online courses

Once a booking has been made for an online exam, no changes are permitted.

Additional information

Knowledge Train reserves the right to cancel any course/exam up to the start date. In the unlikely case this occurs, all course/exam fees will be refunded. We’ll try give customers 2 weeks’ notice if possible.

In the event Knowledge Train cancels a course/exam, we are not obligated to refund any indirect costs incurred by customers. These may include (but are not limited to): travel costs, accommodation fees and other expenses.

Public courses/exams may be held in rented or leased spaces. By purchasing one of our courses, you agree that Knowledge Train cannot be held responsible for the conditions thereof and shall advise us of any conditions that may make these spaces unsuitable for yourself.

In the event you fail an exam, customers wishing to re-take the exam must pay the corresponding fee. If customers fail a combined Foundation & Practitioner course exam, a refund for the remainder of the course will not be given. If this occurs, you may continue to attend the remainder of the course and retake the failed Foundation exam after the course has concluded. Upon successful completion, a Practitioner exam may be re-purchased for an additional fee.
